Face painting is maybe not for everyone - but that doesn't mean they want to miss out! Perhaps butterfly wings on their shoulders, realistic-looking airbrush tattoos or fun and sparkly glitter tattoos are more their speed!

Also growing in popularity is pregnant belly painting. Most mothers report back that it is quite a soothing sensation on their bellies, and it can add colour, creativity or quirkiness to a pregnancy photo shoot, pregnancy reveal or gender reveal.

I've also helped add excitement and a touch of realism to first aid training refreshers, which we all know we have to do, but can be (let's face it) quite unengaging! Special effects injuries added a sense of urgency to the trainees' response, and enabled them to practice with injuries such as protrusions, which they normally can't in a practice situation.
